Black currants and cassis

- HISTORICAL BACKGROUND -

The cassisCassis is derived from blackcurrants and its production hails from France where weather conditions are ideal for their cultivation and cassis is very popular. The delicious wine produced is greatly appreciated by connoisseurs.

In production since 1989, the black currant plantation is located in Roquemaure on the shores of Lake Abitibi. The fruitfulness of the land is the result of the work by generations of the Tardif family. The existing micro-climate protects the black currant flowers from springtime frost, thereby increasing the yield of the plantation.

Railroad breakfast

Taschereau and a large part of the Abitibi region owe their very existence to the railroad. We have chosen to honour the importance of our village by offering our Railroad breakfast.

We nestle a cooked egg, a slice of ham and a piece of cheese between two slices of French toast then top it all off with berries and a drizzle of blackcurrant syrup.

A selection of other breakfasts is available upon request.
All include orange juice and coffee.
